Cultural product design and advertising

The course “Creating and advertising a product with cultural significance” is looking for participants who already have developed a foundation for their next project and have the tendency to search for proactive and innovative ways of communicating it. The final goal of the course is for participants to get the confidence to work effectively and accurately considering the context of the Bulgarian and global marketing and advertising trends.

The basis on the course lies in the practical approach which will lead you to developing the skill of “thinking of the product as a campaign” while still doing your job. In this way we will face together the real challenges that come up when we want to position our work adequately in a said market environment.

You will learn how to define the right target audience of your project, how to create communication strategies, that will service the specific needs of every future project.

We will guide you through each step of the development of the campaign via a set of exercises which will help you to communicate with media partners, using proven PR tactics. This includes creating an influential ad text, navigating social media channels and many more tools to support the long-term interest towards your work, creating an extensive net of contacts, who will help and evolve your activities.

In the different modules we will analyze the actual media environment and each one of you will “graduate” with clear communication action plan to execute and fully prepared tools of advertising materials, that you will be able to use when communicating with potential partners, donors, institutions and mass audience.

The course is most suited for independent artists, designers, art-directors and culture managers and curators.

Milena Edvig have years of experience in creating and developing campaigns and creative products, bringing attention to projects with social significance, business initiatives and NGOs. She is part of the team of Doza Gallery and is the Strategic Planning Director as B+RED ad agency. 

Method of admission:

Participants are recruited through a competition without an age limit: students from art schools, artists, activists and others wishing to send their CV, projects (if they have) and a cover letter by e-mail:
